WINS Activities
  1. Public honour of five pioneer and talented national women players by HRH Priencess Shruti Rajya Laxmi Devi Rana during the launching of WINS/Nepal in March 1999. Those felicitated were:
    1. Mrs. Kamal Rana: The first Women table tennis player who won the national championship for three years and represented Nepal in various international competition.

    2. Dr. Rita Thapa: Winner of National Badminton Competition who also competed for Thomas Cup and Uver Cup.

    3. Mrs. Anju Ranabhat (Ranjit): National Champion among women weight lifter and Black Belt holder of Tae Kwando.

    4. Mrs. Sita Rai: Winner of Gold Medal in Belgium in 1990 in Tae Kwando. Also won medals in several international competitions.

    5. Ms. Susmita Kandel: Youngest National Champion of Siterio Karate who won her first Gold Medal at the age thirteen.

  2. Organized a Women's Goodwill Rally on Nepalese New Year day in April 1999.

  3. Publication of complimentary Sports Calendar 1999-2000.

  4. Started Women World, a quaterly publication featuring articles on the development of women.

  5. Organized a seminar with Nepal Chamber of Commerce on The Role of monarchy in the Development of Sports in Nepal and Women's Participation on the occasion of HRH Crown Prince Dipendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev's 29th auspicious birthday in June 1999.

  6. Organized a blood donation program on the auspicious occation of the 55th birthday of His Majesty the King. The blood thus collected will be provided free of cost to needy persons from the sports sector.

  7. Organized a free table tennis training camp for women in January 2000.

  8. Public honour of renowed Tae Kwando player Raj Kemar Rai who won Bronze Medal at the 10th Asian Games and Gold at the 8th SAF Games held in Kathmandu, Nepal.
